Harmonia Sacra Singing from Elkhart, Indiana

This recording will contain approximately 26 lessons from a singing from the 1993 edition of the Harmonia Sacra, held January 1, 2006 at the Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana.  This recording, made in the acoustically live Chapel of the Sermon on the Mount, is representative of the sound heard at new singings from this venerable tradition, influenced by Sacred Harp singing.

This one-disc recording contains 26 lessons from a singing held in conjunction with the memorial service for noted Old Harp Singer, Larry E. Olszewski, held at the Laurel Theater in Knoxville, TN on Sunday, December 18, 2005. Also included are two short excerpts from Larry’s comments to the class at the 2005 Headrick’s Chapel Singing, and his solo singing of Parting Friends, sung as a farewell to the community.

Rise My Soul: Old Harp Singing from Wears Valley (2005) - $10

A selection of 31 lessons from the September 23, 2001 Headrick's Chapel singing is now available, with a new look, and expanded notes about the history of Old Harp singing, Headrick's Chapel and the 31 songs. This recording is a reworking of the "Never Part Again" CD mentioned on this page. "Never Part Again" contains more songs, but has only minimal notes and information about the tradition. This disc is a much more complete introduction to the tradition.

This field recording contains 24 lessons from the 38th annual Epworth Jubilee singing from the New Harp of Columbia, held March 25, 2002 at the Laurel Theatre in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Never Part Again: New Harp of Columbia Singing from the William H. Headrick Chapel (2001) - $20

A field recording of the September 23, 2001 Headrick's Chapel singing is now available as a two-disc set!
